Eating-Related Difficulties

Online Therapy for Eating-Related Concerns and Food Anxiety

I offer professional online therapy for individuals struggling with eating-related issues, including distorted eating patterns and anxiety around food—even if these do not meet full DSM-5 criteria for an eating disorder. Whether you find yourself obsessing over “clean eating,” feeling anxious about meals, or experiencing other challenging thoughts and behaviors related to food, I’m here to support you.

My approach is personalized to your unique needs. When appropriate, I incorporate evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E). For underlying trauma that may be contributing to your eating-related difficulties, I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help address these root issues. The choice of therapy always depends on your individual situation and goals.

Please note that I do not take on severe cases that require multidisciplinary care, as these situations benefit from specialized, comprehensive treatment. I currently take clients who do not have urgent physical medical complications related to eating disorders. Ideally, clients are also receiving some nutritional support from a dietitian or medical professional when needed. This ensures a safe and coordinated approach to your care.

If you’re ready to explore how therapy can support your well-being around food and eating, feel free to get in touch.
